Within Her Queendom, pictures of The Supreme Ruler, GODdess Valentine, were everywhere. Every store had Her picture in a prominent location on every floor. Every office building had Her picture in the lobby, and every office had Her picture on the wall. In every school, Her picture was on the wall in the front of every classroom, and each school day began with the children and the teachers and the administrators pledging their allegiance to Her Glory.
Within Her Queendom, there was just one religion - the Church of The Divine Valentine. Above the altar of every church there were pictures and murals of The GODdess, and on Sunday mornings the citizenry would gather to worship Her Perfection and to sing songs
of rejoicing for Her incomparable beauty.
Worship of The GOddess was not, of course, limited to Sundays - it was literally an every day affair. Within each home (no matter how modest and small) there was a room that was set aside for no other purpose and outfitted as a shrine to "The Divine One" who was the ruler of their lives. First thing every morning, and last thing every evening, all men and women would spend time at the shrine, on their knees in prayerful pose, thanking Her for the opportunity to serve Her, and offering Her their complete and total devotion.
As both Ruler and God, Her power was absolute. Nonetheless, there was no resentment of Her position nor did any family ever complain about the taxes that they were required to pay to Her. On the contrary - it was considered an honor and privilege to contribute as much as possible to help pay for Her extraordinarily luxurious and extravagant lifestyle, and families always strived to contribute even more than the amount that they were taxed (and through hard work and sacrifice by all members of the family, many were successful in contributing much much more than the minimum amount required). Even the poorest of the poor felt blessed to be able to give some of what they had to Her - because for them, as was the case with all who lived under Her command, it was service to The GODdess that gave meaning to their little lives, and they all knew how fortunate they were to be able to devote their lives to Her.
