It was a pronouncement that had been long expected. The GODdess - Valentine DeVille of Montreal Canada - had been officially named one of The New Seven Wonders of the World. Indeed, in a landslide of support, She had received the number one ranking, beating out such wonders as The Taj Mahal in India, Petra in Jordan, the Eiffel Tower in France,
and the Pyramids of Egypt.
When the contest began, the possibility that a single person might make the list was not even considered, and when The GODdess was nominated by Her home country, the Seven Wonders organization at first attempted to prevent Her from being included in the competition. However, after receiving emails from people around the world arguing in favor of Her inclusion, the decision was made that Her beauty was of such extraordinary quality that She should be given
a place on the ballot.
From that point on, the result was a foregone conclusion. Whereas each of the other candidates received most of their votes from people in the country where the "wonder" was located, The GODdess received votes from every country on the globe. It was simply the case that Her beauty was too great to be denied.
And now, workmen throughout Canada were working feverishly to make preparations for a weeklong celebration to be held in Her honor, and pictures of Her Perfect Self would forever now be found on the sides of buildings, and in posters in stores, and on the walls of government offices, in every city and town throughout the country that was so proud to be Her home.
