There was nothing that signalled the change of the seasons as clearly as the GODdess’ Seasonal Shopping Event. Today was June 16th and for the wiser members of the public, it was the first day of summer. As she did for each event, the GODdess had made a list of her requirements about 4 weeks earlier, as well as the usual items of a complete new wardrobe, daily hair and beauty treatment, jewelry, home furnishings and electronics included on the list this time were a new car, a yacht, holiday homes in Paris, St. Martin, Australia, and unlimited worldwide flights.
Since the production of the list, her trusted staff had engaged with the leading suppliers in each of the categories and invited them to tender to participate in this auspicious ceremony. As always they had a 100% response rate to the blind bid process, where the chosen companies bid a secret amount in order to be included and have a chance to actually to be chosen.
So famous had these occasions become and the effect they can have on the winning businesses that the bids are always extremely outlandish. The winning 3 bidders in each category are invited to the actual day, their bids accepted as tributes to the GODdess. The losing businesses are consoled and as a gesture of goodwill to them the GODdess allows them to donate their bids to Her Perfect Self also.
The ceremony opened with clothing and footwear and the first designer to offer their wares was Donatella Versace. The designer showcased a bespoke range, designed especially for the occasion, featuring over 50 outfits, shoes, bags, sunglasses and accessories. As well as which, the designer offered the use of her stylists, seamstresses and manufacturers for the GODdess’s use as she pleased and finally a fee of $5 million for the privilege of being able to tell the world that the GODdess wears the designers clothes.
So the day continued with similar levels of lavish exuberance one of the highlights being the offer of a 60ft double decked yacht featuring an on board pool, spa, bar and party room, it came with a full compliment of staff to cater for the GODdess’s every need whilst on board and was accompanied by a tribute of $25 million.
The GODdess selected the winners in each category and when she did, each one rejoiced knowing that their future, and the future of the hundreds of people they employed, was secure for some time to come. Whilst she was pleased with the products and offers the businesses made it was the charitable feeling that she got from seeing this pleasure that was the real reason for these days, it was Her Perfect Self’s way of giving a little back to the world that gave her so much.
